KNP432 - Marketing Scams, “Starvation Mode” and Mind Muscle Connection
Manage episode 353332839 series 2562916
The fitness industry is a multi-billion dollar industry and it's no surprise that some companies and individuals will try to scam people out of their money. Some common marketing scams include:
- False claims of rapid weight loss or muscle gain: Many supplements and workout programs claim to produce quick and drastic results, but these claims are often false and not backed by scientific evidence.
- Guaranteed results in X number of days. Or lose a set amount of pounds in a set time frame.
- misleading claims such as backed by clinical evidence. When reality, there’s very little evidence to support, said claim.
We discussed what to look out for, as well as a few funny and quite outlandish marketing advertisements we’ve seen this year.
We also discussed mind muscle connection, and the “starvation mode” theory, in the beginning of the podcast.
