WPR055: Practical Relationship Tips to Increase Communication and Connection in Your Marriage with Dr. Yael Schonbrun
Manage episode 206518200 series 1342414
Episode Summary:
I am so excited to have Dr. Yael Schonbrun back on the show with me today. I interviewed Yael back on episode WPR024 about Striking the Right Balance Between Career Ambition and an Engaged Family Life. Today, we are diving into the topic of communication in relationships. I’ve said this before on this show, and I’m sure I’ll say it a hundred more times: I believe the foundation of a family starts with the parents who are leading it. There’s so much to do as working parents, and I know from first-hand experience how easy it is to put your marriage on the back-burner as other demands take over. So I’m thrilled that Yael was able to return to the show and offer her advice and insights around how to really connect with your partner as you juggle your career and kids and running the household and everything else that you do on a daily basis.
Yael is a clinical psychologist in private practice and an assistant professor at Brown University. In her spare time, she is a stay at home mother to her three boys. Her book exploring the psychology of straddling ambitious professional and engaged family life is coming out soon as well.
