Ciara sits down with special guest Leigh Fernandez to talk about all things personal growth! Specifically, Leigh discusses her experience battling with stress, inflammatory disease, and cancer, finding the right coach, and guiding herself back to health.

Leigh has a love for life, grabbing each day with gratitude and gusto! Having worked in Corporate Banking for 20+ years she truly understands the need for a strong and focused mindset. Leigh is a driven, conscientious professional who is passionate about physical and mental health. It is this passion and mindset which is key to her transformation success.

Having battled with Ulcerative Colitis for 12 years, tested and diagnosed with a Type A slow metabolism, she could not shift that extra layer of abdominal fat! Leigh joined Michelle MacDonald and her YHH programme in 2020 and in 11 months, following a macro-based diet, working out in the gym and creating life changing new habits results were achieved.

Leigh believes our brains are incredible machines – we need to work on our mindset daily to fully allow our physical activity to take effect. Yoga found Leigh in 2012 after she tragically lost her best friend. Since then, she’s been running Yoga retreats around the world, sharing her Yoga and Mindfulness practice in support of mental health, mind and body rejuvenation.

She loves to see her clients embrace life. Embracing their journey, enjoying every day and every step in the process. Leigh’s goal is to provide a professional and warm environment where her clients can grow and achieve their individual aspirations for life!

Leigh is a Holistic Coach, Yoga & Mindset Teacher, Personal Trainer. Embracing and fully enjoying this ride called Life. She truly believes our heart is key in how we think, feel and react to everyday life.

In January 2023, Leigh started working with Ciara with a view to get her body functioning at its ultimate best again following the devastating effects that the chemotherapy treatment leaves you with! Ciara has an amazing depth of knowledge and has been an incredible support, council and educator to me on this route to ultimate health and getting her strong wee body back.

“It is 100% our responsibility, our nutrition is our opportunity to be the best we can be”
