Taryn Merrill is the Chef/Owner of Fresh AF Bakeshop in Plaistow, NH. Trayn decided she wanted to bake and decorate cakes when she was just 14 years old. She went off to Johnson & Wales in Providence, RI, and got jobs in various settings until the COVID-19 pandemic when she started baking and selling banana bread out of her house. Business quickly picked up until she opened a 600 square foot location in Kingston, NH. That location eventually did 1 million dollars in revenue operating only 4 days per week. In 2024 she moved the business to its current location, a 2,000 square foot space in Plaistow, NH where employs 10 people and still only operates 4 days per week.
