The Way of Love for Kids is a walk through a thoughtful set of practices designed to draw each of us closer to the heart of God. Over twelve episodes we will explore ways to connect with God and each other. Some of these practices may be familiar, while others may invite you toward a new way of wondering about God and this Way of Love.

Today KariAnn visits with two of her mini-BFF's Meagan and Celeste all about our seventh practice, REST. We chat about what we need in order to rest, what we enjoy creating and what the penalty in one house is for not obeying the “no electronics at the table” rule! We invite you strap yourself in (if you are in the car - parents drive the speed limit) and/or settle in for a few minutes of wondering and wandering with us on the Way of Love for Kids.

Questions from The Way of Love for Kids Episode #9: What would your best day of rest look like? What would it need to have in it? What does everyone need to be able to rest? What things do people NOT need in order to rest? What is your favorite thing to play? What do you love to play? What is your favorite thing to create? Is there anything that you do that really helps you to relax? Do you remember the commandment that says, “Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy”? What do you think that means?

Additional Questions for wondering: What are your parents favorite things to do for fun?

Challenge/Question(s)/Practice: 1.As a family chose one meal a week where there is no TV, no cell phones and really set aside that time to be present with each other. 2. Doing something “physical” may not seem like rest - but sometimes getting out and walking as a family is as good as a nap! 3. Take a break and play a game together. 4. Family Dance Party!

We really hope you are enjoying the Way of Love podcast! Me and my mini-BFF’s have had a blast putting these episodes together (and if we are being honest we’ve enjoyed listening to ourselves too!) Now it’s YOUR TURN to share. We want to hear how you are practicing the Way of Love. We’d love to know which practice is your favorite? Turn, Learn, Pray, Worship, Bless, Go or Rest? Share a special memory you’ve created on the Way of Love. Tell us which practice is hard. Say your favorite table grace together for us as a family. Sing us your favorite song. We are going to put all of the messages together into one HUGE EPISODE - so we can ALL HEAR HOW WE are growing and learning on the Way of Love. Just give us a call at 832.377.1973 . Leave us a message - be sure to start by telling us your FIRST NAMES ONLY - along with your city and state and then share your story with us. That’s 832.377.1973 We can all grow together if we share our journey on the Way of Love.

**At You Brew You we are reevaluating what our needs are as a community with regards to our way forward. Please let us know what would be helpful/hopeful to you during this time. We are so glad we listened to God's nudging about sharing our platform with Cathedral Kids TX. What a joy they have been to our community. KariAnn learned A LOT from this experience. We will return with a brand new format April 14, 2020 (Lord willing!)
