In this video, we’re diving into the fascinating and often overlooked benefits of melatonin—the hormone best known for helping us sleep, but one that does so much more for our overall health. While melatonin is often referred to as the “sleep hormone” because of its role in regulating our circadian rhythms and sleep-wake cycles, recent research suggests that its benefits extend far beyond simply ensuring a good night’s rest. Let’s start with melatonin’s essential role in sleep. Our bodies naturally produce melatonin in response to darkness, signaling that it’s time to wind down and prepare for sleep.
