Destruction and violence are before me; there is strife, and conflict abounds.” Habakkuk 1:3 (NIV) “I trembled inside when I heard this; my lips quivered with fear. My legs gave way beneath me, and I shook in terror. I will wait quietly for the coming day when disaster will strike the people who invade us.” Habakkuk 3:16 (NLT) HOW DO DEAL WITH GRIEF 1. Resignation 2. Detachment 3. Determination 4. Hope “Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, 18 yet I will rejoice in the LORD! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! 19 The Sovereign LORD is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights.” Habakkuk 3:17-19 (NLT) “Day and night I have only tears for food... 4 My heart is breaking... 5 Why am I discouraged? I will praise him again— my Savior and my God!” Psalm 42:3-6, 11 (NLT) “This is my comfort in my affliction, that your promise gives me life.” Psalm 119:50 (ESV) “The Sovereign LORD is my strength!
