Today, on A Coach, a Nutritionist, and an Expert Walk Into a Podcast, Nathan Hill, Relationship Coach, joins Mike and Helena for his last episode as ourl Expert-in-residence. And what better topic than Legacy?! We delve into how intentionally leaving an imprint, whether big or small, can shape our sense of purpose and influence future generations.
Legacy isn't just about grand gestures or monumental achievements; it's also about the meaningful ways we impact the people and environments around us, from our workplaces to our personal relationships. But legacy isn't always positive. We'll explore how generational trauma, like the lasting effects of famine, can leave deep imprints on individuals and communities, shaping everything from genetics to our relationship with food.
We explore how legacy can serve as a compass, guiding us toward actions that align with our values and aspirations, and the concept of legacy audits as a tool for reflection, helping us evaluate how our actions align with our desired legacy and garner support from those we care about.
Finally, we discuss how as we evolve as individuals, so, too, can our legacies; how they're not fixed but fluid, capable of changing and evolving alongside us; and how legacies can be collective experiences, shared within families, corporations, and communities. Each contribution adds to the legacy's tapestry, shaping its impact on the whole.
Nathan Hill is a coach specializing in relationships. With two degrees in religion, he uses story and legend to highlight deeper aspects of human experience—collective truths that connect us.
Nathan’s dedication to personal growth and development represents what he calls a coming home. His greatest skills include careful listening and the ability to create thought space for his clients. He balances curiosity that’s informed by his wide experience with a spiritually informed respect for silence.
One of Nathan's most fun recent projects is "The Villains Series." Using fictional villains from film and stories as a starting point, Nathan prompted his audience to engage with the concepts and themselves on a deeper level.
Nathan has made guest appearances on several LinkedIn Live events and hosted his own coaching focused live show in 2023. You can find him on LinkedIn @Nathan-x-hill.
