Have you ever felt like menopause or perimenopause is a death sentence? I know what you're talking about because I actually thought that too, and I'm so glad that I didn't listen to all of those things. I've lost 50 pounds and kept it off all during perimenopause without any extreme measures like counting calories or tracking steps. If you can relate, welcome to the club. I'm so glad you're here at this podcast. Let's dive into what to expect from perimenopause and postmenopausal life.

In this episode, I share the story of Ruth, a 73-year-old member of my program, who significantly improved her health and relationships, allowing her to actively participate in her family’s lives, including babysitting her great-grandchildren. I emphasize the importance of seeing menopause not as an end but as a new beginning filled with wisdom and contributions. I also discuss the overload of information available online and the challenge of finding personalized, reliable advice.

What you will learn in this episode:

  • The importance of essential lifestyle changes, including getting 7-9 hours of sleep, eating a balanced diet, exercising regularly, and managing stress.
  • How to overcome challenges like muscle mass loss and the unique pressures of the "sandwich generation."
  • The value of self-acceptance and personal growth, and how to filter through the plethora of online advice to find what resonates personally.
