In this podcast episode, Yemi and Philia discuss how curiosity and dabbling in the wrong things opens the door to strongholds. God wants us to trust in him and not chase after the things of this world that are in opposition to him. It is time we put our full faith in the Lord in both good and bad times instead of seeking answers and comfort that will trap us in un-Godly bondage.…
In this series called Clearing The Path, Yemi and Philia discuss Pulling Down Strongholds and Breaking Generational Curses (2nd Corinthians 10:4-5). On this episode we talk about the bondage of sin that leads to strongholds. The sign of deliverance is worship. True deliverance is not the change from this condition to that condition but the movement from slavery to freedom, and thus freedom to deliverance.…
In this podcast episode, Yemi and Philia discuss the common ways strongholds manifest in our lives. God called us to follow him and not the ways of this world. We must be the salt of this earth, and as representatives of Christ, we need to work on manifesting Christ-like love by closing the door to toe-holds, foot-holds and strong-holds which we can recognize by its destructive characteristics - anger, rage, rebellion, pride, uncontrolled language and profanity.…
In this series called Clearing The Path, Yemi and Philia discuss Breaking Generational Curses and Pulling Down Strongholds (2nd Corinthians 10:4-5). On this episode we talk about the origins and common spoken curses. Life and death are in the power of the tongue, and it is our spiritual obligation to be intentional with our words. Our thoughts become our words, our words become our actions, and our actions become our destiny. "The words of the reckless pierce like swords, but the tongue of the wise brings healing." Proverbs 12:18…

On this episode we talk about how no one is exempt from stronghold curses and everyone has access to the cure, Jesus. Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6)…

In this series called Ripened and Ready, Treading Faith is diving into the Fruit of the Spirt for this season (Galatians 5:22-23). On this episode, we are covering the last characteristic of the fruit, Self-Control. The Bible says that self-control is a fundamental virtue that is essential for living a Godly life. The Bible also says that self-control is a gift from God and that it is a fruit of the Spirit. Proverbs 25:38 says, "A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls." While we sometimes don't want to admit it, the only person in control of anything is God.…
In this podcast episode, Yemi and Philia outline our next corporate fast, 40 Days Through The Wilderness, and the goals we hope to accomplish during this fasting period. This corporate fast will begin on October 14th and continue through November 22nd. We will fast from 8:00pm to 8:00am daily and refrain from added sugars in our diet. During this wilderness fast, we are focusing on the 40 year period where the tribes of Israel wandered the wilderness on their way to the promised land. We are presenting our bodies as a living sacrifice to God as we focus on a deeper spiritual connection and lessons to learn in our wilderness season. "I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship." (Romans 12:1 ESV)…
In this podcast episode, Yemi and Philia discuss the eighth and penultimate attribute of the Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) which is Gentleness. Gentleness is the quality of being kind, tender, or mild-mannered. The act of gentleness is a strength and not a weakness. Gentleness is needed for all our relationships. It is a balm that can calm intense interactions. It is a balm to our soul and the souls of others through the application of grace (unmerited favor or goodwill). God loves us and exhibited gentleness towards us through the actions of Jesus Christ. Even with the gift of the Holy Spirit that dwells in us, oftentimes the communication is a gentle whisper which leads us and gives us direction. "And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, 'This is the way; walk ye in it'; when ye turn to the right hand and when ye turn to the left." (Isaiah 30:21 KJV)…

In this series called Ripened and Ready, Treading Faith is diving into the Fruit of the Spirt for this season (Galatians 5:22-23). In this podcast episode, Yemi and Philia discuss the sixth attribute of the Fruit of the Spirit, Goodness. God is good and as humans born into sin, we need God to inject goodness into us. While we may have the capacity to be good, we also have the capacity to be bad. How do we abandon bad behavior and chase goodness? By chasing God. Ask God to help you develop goodness and the Holy Spirit will minister to you daily and tell you which way to go. "Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” (Isaiah 30:21)…

In this podcast episode, Yemi and Philia discuss the fourth attribute of the Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) and that is Patience. Patience is an action verb and takes practice to perfect. There were many times our impatience has caused us harm or harmed others. Let us remember the consequences of our impatience to give us the willpower to wait. Let us remember the goodness and patience of the Lord to encourage us to exercise patience with others and ourselves. Philippians 1:6 says, "I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ".…
