Dr. Andrew Huberman is a neuroscientist and tenured professor in the Department of Neurobiology at Stanford School of Medicine.

Dr. Huberman provides us with some incredible tools to deal with the current stress, anxiety and fear we might be experiencing.

His lab, The Huberman lab, is focused on brain function, development and repair with an emphasis on regeneration to prevent and cure blindness. They also study the neural circuits that control visual fear and are developing tools to re-map these circuits and treat anxiety disorders. This guy even dove with great white sharks in the name of fear research! That’s dedication.

Dr. Huberman has made numerous—and award-winning– contributions to the fields of brain development, brain plasticity, and neural regeneration and repair. And he does an excellent job of making neuroscience more accessible to a wider audience. He’s a great teacher.

In today’s episode we explore:

  • The difference between fear, anxiety and stress
  • Various calming techniques
  • The importance of viewing light during the day and limiting light at night
  • Ways to improve your sleep
  • Why it’s actually a good time for neuroplasticity right now
  • The neuroscience of gratitude
  • And much much more!

RELATIONSHIP REBOOT

Guys I put together a 6-week course distilling down the wisdom I’ve learned studying integrative body psychotherapy for 3 years, interviewing experts, reading tons of books and doing my own work with my husband and it’s basically the abridged version of the stuff that was most effective in my own life and relationship.

With us all at home, spending extra time with our partners, or perhaps wanting to foster different relationships in the future.. I think it’s a perfect time to really dedicate some energy to deepening connection.

Each week you’ll receive an email with a video module and workbook, which will help you solidify the teachings. The course is geared to allow you to reflect, recharge, reprogram and reconnect.
