Theology Without Walls' Greatest Wall - Christology

Presence: A Global Conversation for a New Earth.

Christianity is the world’s largest religion. Therefore, its walls are higher than any other religion. But can there be a path forward that takes down this wall of arrested development? Can we move beyond Christology as a religious form?

It’s time to consider the history of Christology and the ever changing/evolving hermeneutics that have defined it.

We already know from Social Science and historical data that we’ve experienced three worldviews that are still alive and well here in the West. They are Traditional, Modern and Postmodern. When you track these three worldviews you track the hermeneutical evolution of Christology from fundamentalism to progressivism. But all 3 worldviews still end at the same place; Christ as a world religion.

The current leading edge discussions on consciousness have been termed Integral. Integral consciousness is now a whole field of study that applies its principles to business, finance, politics, education and even professional sports.

Presence is asking what Christology would look like using an integral approach to hermeneutics; a post-Postmodern lens. The difference is radical. Rather than separate itself into thousands of relativized and denominated religious forms, Christology points toward that which is ultimate.

New approaches to all narratives are now possible without walls of superiority and identities of more than/less than. Theos is the outcome - not a particularistic religious form. Is such an approach valid or possible?
