Population health management is often talked about in top-down terms, but how seriously will the needs of individuals be taken as systems develop? How will personal needs inform care delivery? Why will the patient voice play a very different role in the NHS of the future?
Steph Edusei (Chief Executive of St Oswald’s Hospice) joins Tom Clarke (Director, Mtech Access) to explore these questions and more.
This episode was first released as a live webinar on Friday 21st May 2021.

Steph Edusei has held the role of Chief Executive at St Oswald’s Hospice since May 2020. The hospice provides specialist care for adults, babies, children and young adults from across the North East of England and takes a proactive approach to integrated care, working with other NHS providers in the region and the wider population.

Prior to this, Steph was Chief Executive of Tell us North, the organisation that run Healthwatch Newcastle and Healthwatch Gateshead, giving her extensive experience in local healthcare and how this integrates with wider NHS systems. She has also held a wide variety of leadership and senior operational positions, including Interim Deputy Chief Executive at Newcastle Council for Voluntary Services; Authorisation Development lead and then Strategic Head of Corporate Affairs at NHS Northumberland Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG); Assistant Director, Commissioning at NHS North of Tyne, and Assistant Director of Operations at North East Ambulance Service NHS Trust. Rarely does one come across an individual with such a breadth of experience across so many different services supporting population health.
