First Things First
The definition of the word first is coming before all others in time or order. (highest importance)
Ask yourself today, what is the most important thing in my life? What can’t I live without?
We are going to talk today about “first things first”. Putting our life in perspective. Bring more meaning and direction in our life.
Jesus said that all commandments are contained in 2 simple but very important commandments; love God and love your neighbor as yourself. It all starts with loving God.
When we lose our first love, something else has taken its place.
In the church of Ephesus, there were a lot of good things going on. The problem was those things took the place of the most important thing… the love we first had for the Lord. Their eyes got off the prize. Rev 2:1-7
Part of this grace walk on this earth is learning to handle disappointment, resentment and hurt. On this journey we are on, God gives us solutions and tools to handle anything we are faced with here.
We must remember that when the enemy presses in, we can’t forget what he has provided. Many times, the things we are seeking are on the other side of adversity. Our confession and the attitude of our heart determine how we handle adversity.
