Birth is unpredictable and in home or birth center birth... transfer is a possibility. Most transfers happen for non emergent reasons like exhaustion. However, being fully educated and prepared on how to handle transfer will make the transition go more smooth and your body will be able to remain more relaxed and at ease.
I wanted to talk about what a transfer looks like so you can be prepared if it happens to you and how to advocate for yourself.
I share a beautiful transfer story from one of my mamas I helped.
Remember to take a good childbirth education course that will help prepare you for your birth and how to properly advocate for you or your partner. (Partners need to get educated too and be an active participant ESPECIALLY with transfer!)
