To begin with, the country was fully behind him, but the long drawn out fight eventually took its toll on the public’s patience. Mix in a financial collapse and a natural catastrophe, and his national support was in a free fall. But whether all of these issues make you think he was overrated or underrated, it’s fair to say he kept pushing forward, leading the country through 2 terms of seemingly never-ending crises.
