Greetings Village!
#DailyAfricanProverbs takes us to #Ethiopia today.
This proverb teaches us that we should be patient and wait for the right time to do things. We should not speak or act before the time is right. This is because if we do, we may end up saying or doing something that we regret.
For example, if we are in a meeting and we have an important point to make, we should wait until we are called on to speak. If we speak out of turn, we may interrupt someone else or make our point less effectively.
Similarly, if we are interested in someone romantically, we should not confess our feelings until we are sure that the other person is interested in us too. If we do, we may put ourselves in an awkward or embarrassing situation.
This proverb is a reminder that timing is everything. If we want to be successful in life, we need to be patient and wait for the right time to act.
