Cry, but Don’t Stop Sowing (Advent 18)
“May those who sow in tears reap with shouts of joy. Those who go out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, carrying their sheaves.” - Psalm 126:5-6
Heartbreak and disappointment come into every life. Sorrow and despair are part of the human experience. There’s no need to pretend that we feel ok when we are feeling anything but ok. We can acknowledge and validate our feelings.
The key for us is to keep going. We can’t let the difficulties of the moment stop us from doing today what is necessary to create the tomorrow we desire. We must keep going. We must keep sowing. We must keep growing.
Joy comes with the harvest. Cry, but don’t stop sowing. The harvest is coming.
