In this special 100th episode of You Betcha She Did, we dive into the thoughts and aspirations of Wisconsin's Generation Z— young women who are poised to shape the future.
As a special side project of the Women's Leadership Conference put on by New Sage Strategies this October, I was able to interview several teenage women leaders from Northeast Wisconsin. In this special episode, they share their dreams, concerns, and inspirations, offering a powerful glimpse into the next generation’s mindset.
Their insights on vulnerability, representation, and future goals are both eye-opening and deeply inspiring, reminding us of the importance of supporting young women in their journey toward leadership and equality.

Here are three key takeaways from this episode:

  1. The Power of Vulnerability
Many young women bravely step outside their comfort zones, discussing stigmatized topics and advocating for important issues. Their courage reminds us that vulnerability is a strength, and by sharing our own stories, we can foster a more open and empowered community.
  2. The Importance of Representation
Concerns about the lack of female leadership were prevalent, highlighting the need for more women in business, government, and STEM fields. This serves as a powerful reminder that when young girls see women in positions of power, it encourages them to pursue their own dreams without limits.
  3. Dreaming Big for the Future
From aspirations of a woman president to the elimination of gender inequality, these young women envision a world of equal opportunities for all. It’s a call to action for us to support the next generation, ensuring they have the tools and encouragement to achieve their bold dreamss

A special Thank You to Vicki Updike, New Sage Strategies, Madison Wilcox, Maggie Johnson, Laurel Golson, Elle Trampe, CoCo Guiou, and Chloe Godlewski for sharing their voices and thoughts for this episode.
