let's talk about sex(uality), baby
okay, anyway, this has been on my mind since basically the beginning of time and has become a recent topic of discussion & ponderance in my life yet again: sexuality. personally, i think gender and sexuality and all that goes with them can be very complicated, liberating, fluid experiences for everyone, especially when you're already queer and outside of the margins of what it societally "acceptable."
while labels are so often more nuisance than help, they still do hold an incredible amount of importance and weight in our lives and the ways in which we view ourselves & others. so...let's unpack that, shall we? i guess i'm just here to explore queerness in a more open way than i have before. to be introspective & make an attempt to embrace my own fluidity while getting rid of some of the icky internalized pre-judgments i had about what that all really means.
this conversation might seem redundant, boring, pointless, to anyone, and to that i say, don't listen. but as someone who has found a great deal of myself in lesbian identity and the lesbian community, these kinds of conversations are a little hard for me to have. but i've come to realize perhaps i'm not the only one thinking and talking about these things in their lives so, i figured, let's chat.
shoutout to my bestie kendall this week, my boss/pal alyssa always, & my therapist because honestly so much of my content is inspired by conversations & work we do together. y'all rock, big love.
