In honor of April National Month of Hope, Hopeologist Dr. Rosalind Tompkins honors frontline workers who put their lives on the line like HOPEE (Helping Others Practice Enduring Empowerment), Awardee LaTreller Johnson who is a direct care professional at a long-term residential care facility for adults with developmental disabilities. This center has several confirmed cases of Coronavirus. Ms. Johnson, a single parent of three, shares her motivation for continuing to go to work as more than half of the residents and one third of the employees have tested positive for COVID 19 although she tested negative and does not have the disease. This Coronavirus pandemic has just become more personal to me as LaTreller Johnson is a long-term member of Mothers In Crisis. As her pastor and leader, I am so proud of her stance and faith. LaTreller represents what is good is the world and is empowered by the practice of hopeology and shares how she uses the principles to create hope spheres at her place of employment during this extremely difficult time. Congratulations to LaTreller Johnson for receiving the HOPEE Award! For more information on how to become involved with the Hope Campaign please visit: www.makeahopeconnection.com. Also see the video of Hopeologist Rosalind's original poem inspired by the times that we are living in We Cannot Be Shaken on Vimeo.
