This week I chat with someone who is taking on one of the most amazing endurance cycling adventures I've ever heard of, and as a result there are plenty of intense, edge of your seat stories in this episode!!

After leaving his job at an airline amidst the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, Andrew Mortensen turned to what he knew best: the open road.

In support of The Trevor Project, an LGBTQ+ youth suicide prevention non-profit, he's cycled nearly 9,000 miles, first crossing the United States coast-to-coast before pedaling south to Mexico with his eyes set on South America.

Andrew's three months riding have brought many unexpected hurdles, from ravenous dogs and robbery to severe illness and injury, but also have been immensely rewarding, full of breathtaking scenery, immense kindness, and more than $6,500 raised to date for The Trevor Project.
