In this SDA Unlocked episode, Debbie gives us an overview of Bendigo, Victoria as a regional growth centre and provides an in-depth look at the data - both demand and supply of SDA.
As the Greater Bendigo Residential Strategy moves forward, the City of Greater Bendigo is focused on planning goals to create an inclusive, safe and ecological city.
The growth expected by 2036 is approximately 26% of the estimated 2023 population, and whilst not as high, the expected population growth of the NDIS population is around 11% by 2032.
Add to this the undersupply of quality New-Build SDA and the fact that 1 in 3 SDA-funded participants are not currently living in SDA leads us to see Bendigo as a high-demand location.
