Have you been finding value in the information we've been sharing? Great, there is much more in store for you. Last week we looked at "Rationalizing your portfolio in a pandemic" where Shelly-Ann Morgan from Sagicor fed us with insight into what goes into rationalizing, evaluating and thoughts about diversification for your overall investment portfolio. History has shown us that every 10 years or so there is a financial crisis so we may as well brace ourselves to deal with that reality. Of course, there is nothing that could have prepared us for this global health crisis that has been plaguing us sinc 2020. In fact, it actually started in 2019. Hence the name COVID-19. This week we are zooming in on your stock portfolio as we explore the topic, "preparing your portfolio to withstand economic shocks." To take us through this discourse is Stockbroker, Investor & Businessman, who serves as VP – Investor Relations, GK Capital, Ryan Strachan.

Some of what we looked at were:

  • How would you describe this state the world is in from a financial standpoint?
  • What is the economic impact of COVID-19 specifically as it relates to stocks?
  • Let's talk about how to prepare our stock portfolios to withstand economic shocks?
  • How about diversification? Should we be looking outside the local stock market as we diversify our portfolio?

And lots more.
