Manage episode 289145501 series 2577496
We're hearing from Alistair Casey, former professional badminton player for Scotland who qualified for 5 consecutive World Championships 2007 through 2013 in Men’s Singles. He has won 5 senior international tournaments in Men’s Singles and 1 in Men’s Doubles. He competed in the main draw of the Super Series tour 2008 through 2011.
Alistair eventually became the personal coach for Iris Wang at the end of 2014 and coached her court-side at the 2016 Rio Olympics Games.
He shares a very interesting story about how he overcame so obstacles and rejections throughout his career, driven by an unrelentless belief that not playing badminton wasn't an option.
