When facing a new season, there is something missing in our day and age that we need to be doing. We go go go, move on to the next without a thought about anything that’s in our past that may still be deeply affecting how we step into the new season. We need to take the nation of Israel’s lead and make space to grieve and mourn the bad things, make peace with the things we won’t be able to get over, like the death of a person, and celebrate the good things. Before God even called Joshua to lead the nation of Israel into the Promised Land, God gave them a GIFT of time to mourn, make peace, and celebrate Moses’ life.
