Welcome to Looptown is based on an actual play roleplay of the Tales of the Loop tabletop role-playing game. Looptown takes place in the fictional town of Harriot, Oregon. The year is 1988 but this isn’t the 1988 you may know. This world benefitted from much earlier scientific advancement and here people exist alongside lifeless-looking service droids, droning transport mechs and echos of the deeply imbedded tech industry at their feet for below this sleepy town lays something known mostly as “the loop”.
Our first episode starts with a popular 16-year-old high school student named Jackie Sinclair. After a life-changing event and mysterious near-death accident, Jackie finds their life has turned upside down. As they struggle to regain their footing, Jackie begins to piece together the puzzle. With Cheer tryouts and school around the corner, Jackie discovers this mystery may go deeper than they could have imagined.
