Hey there Surfers and Beachgoers! Welcome to your surf forecast brought to you by the National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard. Let's dive into the groovy waves coming your way.
Starting off with Malibu Coast and Los Angeles County Beaches:
Today, we're looking at a HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK, so keep your surf skills sharp. Surf heights will be 3 to 5 feet, peaking on those south-facing beaches. No thunderstorms expected, but expect the water temps to be between 60 to 67 degrees. And remember, mixed swells are rolling in!
Tomorrow, the rip current risk drops to Moderate with 2 to 4 feet swell heights. Tides will be doing their thing too, with a mix of south and west swells to ride.
Heading over to Ventura County Beaches:
Here, we're looking at a MODERATE RIP CURRENT RISK today. Surf heights ranging from 2 to 4 feet, and the water temperature is a comfy 63 to 65 degrees. A mix of west and south swells are on the menu today.
Tomorrow, the rip current risk stays Moderate with 2 to 4 feet waves to catch. Tides will be rolling in and out with more mixed swells to enjoy.
Now, for Santa Barbara County and San Luis Obispo County Beaches:
Today, the rip current risk is LOW along with 1 to 6 feet of surf heights and cool water temps. West swells are coming through, so get ready to ride!
