Meet Michael Laidler, a dedicated law enforcement officer, inspirational speaker, and author of "Greatness Beyond the Badge." With an 18-year career spanning various states and agencies, Michael's journey began as a police officer in Tallahassee, Florida, at just 19 years old. He transitioned to become a Border Patrol Agent, served as a K-9 Handler, and held roles in the Federal Bureau of Prisons, including Correctional Officer, Special Investigative Agent, and more.
However, Michael's story is not just one of professional success; it's a testament to resilience and self-discovery. Overcoming hardships like homelessness, witnessing his mother's depression, and losing a child, he realized the importance of self-development. Pursuing a master's degree and actively engaging with Toastmasters International, he became a Distinguished Toastmaster.
