This guy is has such a great outlook on things he is just a real pleasure to be around. Kirt can take a situation most would consider a disaster and see only the good that came from it.
This unique perspective spills over into his creativity. Kirt sees beautiful art in corroded old parts at the swap meet that will make the next build something really special. The rust blisters and faded paint on a gas tank aren't undesirable, they're history to be valued and appreciated. This makes his work fluid, changing with each new find to become something slightly different than planned, but always better than planned.
Kirt's life is full and rich. Not rich in terms of mega wealth rather rich in family, friends and experience. When asked about his favourite piece in his collection Kirt explains it is the '64 Impala on the lift not because of its rarity or its value. It's because his kids helped him sand and prep it, kind of a family project. Kirt's humble beginnings have given him a solid grasp of what is truly valuable in this world.
