Laura Ross-Paul is an accomplished artist, activist, and educator known for her impactful contributions to the visual arts and breast cancer advocacy. She has received prestigious awards such as the Bonnie Bronson Visual Arts Fellowship and the Oregon Arts Commission Individual Artist Fellowship. Her work has been featured in regional biennials at the Portland and Tacoma Art Museums and in film and literature.
With a BFA from Fort Wright College and an MFA from Portland State University, Ross-Paul has taught painting and drawing at institutions like Lewis & Clark College and the Pacific Northwest College of Art. She has also served on numerous arts boards and co-founded the Northwest Artists Workshop.
In addition to her artistic career, Ross-Paul is a passionate advocate for cryoablation as a treatment for breast cancer. She co-authored They're Mine and I'm Keeping Them and maintains an advocacy website, keepingthem.com. Ross-Paul lives in Portland with her husband, author Alex Paul, and their three children.
