With only one regular season week left in the 2024 regular season, Week 13 further clarified the picture of contenders and pretenders.
The SEC is crumbling - Alabama, Ole Miss and Texas A&M all lost. They each have three losses and seasons are on life support. Georgia beat UMASS even though it wasn't pretty, but are the Bulldogs the best two loss team in the country?
The Big 10 is showcasing its dominance. Oregon had a bye, but Ohio State notched it's second Top 5 win of the season over Indiana. Those are clearly the best two teams in the country. I'm guessing Indiana probably still makes the playoff and Penn State SURVIVED on the road against Minnesota.
The ACC is clearing up with SMU solidifying their spot in that conference championship game. Now Miami and Syracuse play next week to determine the other team in that game.
The Big 12 is A MESS! Colorado lost, BYU lost....
There are FIVE teams 5-3 in conference play, and FOUR teams 6-2 in conference play. And how about ASU beating BYU to become 9-2 on the season!
