Finally, we are urged to rejoice in the Spirit’s application of the Gospel, as the Spirit dwells within us, assuring us of our adoption and giving us the intimate cry of “Abba, Father.” At the start of a new year, this glorious truth grounds our identity and equips us to live with confidence, joy, and hope as heirs of God’s eternal kingdom.
