Pride can severely damage our relationship with God and others. Through the parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector in Luke 18:9-14, Jesus illustrates the dangers of self-righteousness and contempt. Pride leads us to trust in our own righteousness and view others with disdain, which blinds us to our need for God's grace.
