Episode 292: "Gaining New Strength for Victory in Life and Career!"

Greetings, Leaders.

Do you sometimes need more time and energy in facing the challenges and going after the opportunities in life and career?

We all do.

How do you gain the necessary strength needed to face the battles of life and career?

Let's examine the lives of great leaders before us and discern how they gained new strength and won victory after victory on their life and career journey.

They were more than conquerors because of their faith and acting out what they believed to be their calling. God calls to each of us.

King David, an ancient king, is someone whose life and leadership hold many beautiful insights for servant leaders.

He writes in his journal an inspiring word of encouragement to every leader. I discovered this insight on January 30, 1995. I wrote, "forever and now." beside this message from King David.

"Wait for the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say on the LORD!" King David, Psalm 27:14

I began practicing being alone and waiting in prayer to God like King David modeled before me. At the time, my career began progressing with greater and greater opportunities.

I needed new strength, courage, and confidence for the expanding opportunities and challenges.

Like David, I can now say, "I would have lost heart unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living."

King David, Psalm 27:13

Perseverance through faith in the LORD gives us new strength we need now.

This reminder came to me to encourage us to do and accomplish great and mighty things in our lives and careers.

"The eyes of the LORD run back and forth across the whole earth, to show Himself strong in behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him."

2 Chronicles 16:9

Wherever you are, my friend, on your life and career journey, God sees you and will act on your behalf when we place our trust and reliance on Him alone for victory.

Many need the supernatural strength available to them. Over many years, when I needed more time and energy to close sales opportunities, respond to family needs, and serve the needs of my clients, I practiced "waiting for the Lord."

Every time, the strength, wisdom, insight, and help I needed came at just the right time. Here is a promise from God that I meditate - think it through, write it down, and speak it out as I gain new strength for today and assurance for victory.

"But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint." Isaiah 40:31

My friends, victory is ours. In every battle we face, God promises we will win when we fight our battles in prayer on our knees.

No prayer, no power. Little prayer, little power, much prayer, much power.

Listen to this word of encouragement,

"Don't be afraid, for I am with you.

Don't be discouraged, for I am your God.

I will strengthen you and help you.

I will hold you up with my victorious right hand." Isaiah 41:10
