Today, we are discussing the accusations of violence at the Saudi-Yemen Border. Many Ethiopians live in Saudi Arabia after having migrated to escape poverty, food insecurity, and extreme violence due to an outbreak between the army and a regional militia group. However, upon arriving at the Saudi-Yemen Border, they receive discrimination and violence. This violence against Ethiopian migrants includes projectile launchings, mass shootings, torture, rape, and extortion and has been occurring since March of 2022, continuing to this day.
