Interview with families: June Allison in North Carolina
Manage episode 289188235 series 2868703
June Allison discovered Safe Toddles through a social media post. She immediately recognized the pediatric belt cane as something that could help her adopted 2-year-old son Caeden. Caeden has cortical visual impairment and cerebral palsy. Caeden has lower field loss and reduced contrast sensitivity which makes it difficult for him to have confidence in what he's seeing on the ground. He's immediately began to depend on the feedback from the cane frame. The feedback is also helping stimulate his right hand and shoulders- good for improving fine motor development.
Learn from June - her discovery is benefiting her son and several other families who also are using belt canes because of her.
