(2 Thessalonians 2:10, KJV) Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, In a world that increasingly rejects and suppresses God's truth, we as Christians must stand firm on the solid foundation of Scripture. While each generation drifts further from the Judeo-Christian values that once undergirded much of society, we are called to be a shining light amidst the darkness. The Apostle Paul warns in Romans 1:18 that the ungodly actively suppress the truth in unrighteousness. They reject the light of the gospel because it exposes their sin. In their hearts, they know right from wrong, but they refuse to submit to the God of the universe and instead remain in rebellion against Him. As believers anchored in God's Word, we have the privilege and responsibility to proclaim the truth to a lost world. While the cultural Christianity of previous decades fades away, the line between light and darkness, truth and deception, is becoming clearer. This gives us the opportunity to present the gospel message in stark contrast to the false philosophies and beliefs of our time. Let us remember that we are all prophets, in a sense - we all proclaim things to be true. As Christians, we must be careful to always prophesy truth by basing our words and judgments on Scripture. God's Word is just as applicable and transformative today as it has been for the past 2,000 years. May we commit ourselves to studying, obeying and sharing the truth of God's Word. Let us be a beacon of hope, drawing the lost out of darkness and into the glorious light of Christ.
