Welcome to River City Church Online. Thank you for joining us today as we start our new series called Pursuing Peace In A Divided World.
Today's message has been presented by Melissa Burmaster.

The absence of conflict is no sign of peace.

In our world that seeks for "world peace" there has to, just has to be, some missing element.

This coming Sunday we will explore the challenges of peacemaking through the life of David.

His days as a soldier and then King of Israel put a hunger in his heart for the community of God's people to be at peace.

Unfortunately, during his leadership of Israel and his own home life there were only short term gains in the way of peace.

There was a missing essential that only the gospel can bring.
