Monday—What is the goal of the Christian life? What does God call you to and what does he want you to avoid?

Tuesday—What do you typically think of when you think of evil? Read Isaiah 14:12-14. What was Satan’s great act of evil in the beginning? What should we learn from that?

Wednesday—How does Diotrephes imitate the devil? What does he teach us to watch out for in the church? What qualities are most important in leaders in the church?

Thursday—Who was Demetrius? (v. 12) Was he well known? Why do you think 3 John references to mostly unknown, common servants in the church? Why is it significant that “the Truth” bears testimony to Demetrius? Who is the Truth? (cf. John 14:6)

Friday—What does it mean that those who do evil have never seen God? (v. 11) What does it means to see God? (cf. Isaiah 6:5; Luke 5:8) What should seeing Jesus for who he is do to your ambition and pride?
