Hey Profiteer! Welcome to Pawsitive Profit! In today's episode, we're diving into a beginner-friendly peanut butter dog treat recipe that's sure to become a staple on your dog treat bakery menu. Whether you're completely new to baking or this is your first attempt at making dog treats, this episode is for you. Get ready to create delicious and all-natural treats your furry friends will love! 🐾

Recipe: Peanut Butter Dog Treats Ingredients (makes 1 batch): 2 C. Whole wheat flour 1 C. Creamy peanut butter - All natural, no sugar added 1 C. Warm water 1 tsp. Baking powder 2 tsp. Cinnamon

Instructions: Preheat the oven to between 325-350 degrees (every oven is a little different. I heat mine to 325 degrees). Whisk together flour, baking powder, and cinnamon. Mix in peanut butter thoroughly. Add water a little at a time until well incorporated. Try not to overmix dough. *Optional - Cover dough or put inside zip lock bag and let rest for 10 minutes. This allows the flour to soak up the moisture. Using the thickness guides on the rolling pin, roll dough to desired thickness: ¼” or ½”, etc., depending on the recipe you’ll be using it in. If dough is too sticky when rolling, add a little sprinkle of flour under dough and on a rolling pin. Cut out shapes, use cookie stamps, or proceed with your own creativity. Bake in the oven for about 20-25 minutes but check for doneness every 3 minutes and to see if cookie sheets need rotation for even doneness. You want a cookie that isn’t soft in the middle. A little give is okay because cookies will continue to cook for a bit after being removed from the oven. If you turn off the oven after cookies are done and leave the cookies in the oven to cool down (for a few hours to overnight), the cookies will naturally get crunchier, as moisture continues to be removed throughout this process. If they look too brown on the bottoms at any point in the baking process, remove them from the oven right away. Dehydrate the cookies in a dehydrator if desired. In this episode, I'll be walking you through each step of this recipe from start to finish and sharing some of my personal tips and tricks. Let's make sure you feel confident and excited to try this recipe at home!
