I was so excited to go to Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park in Colorado because I knew nothing about it! I am very type A and usually know where we are going to hike, what we will see, and pit stops for along the way. All I really knew going into Black Canyon is that hiking to the river is steep & we had campsite 27A booked for 2 nights. Turns out, the park blew me away! I was also very exited to return to Rocky Mountain National Park and show Hayden around for his first time. We camped in the National Forest just outside of the park, and it ended up being my favorite site of the trip!
