In this episode, we were joined by Professor Dominic Wilkinson. Professor Wilkinson is a bioethicist of international renown. He is currently a Professor of Medical Ethics at the University of Oxford, where he is also the Director of Medical Ethics and Deputy Director at the Uehiro Centre for Practical Ethics. Prof Wilkinson, shared his views on ethics, and their relevance to the field of medicine. He also highlighted the growing need for guidelines and standard practices to be put in place with the advancement of technology and its application in the medical field. Being a medical practitioner first, he has first-hand knowledge of how dependent doctors have become on the new age instruments and technological advancements in the handling of patients.
