CHRISTMAS PROMISES: THE PROMISE OF PEACE

Isaiah 2:1-5

LEARN AS A STUDENT OF GOD’S WAYS

“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord…

‘He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk

in his paths.’ The law will go out from Zion, the

Word of the Lord from Jerusalem” (vs. 3).

• Get exposed to God’s Word.
• Remember knowledge is useful only when applied.

“Teach me, O Lord, to follow your decrees; then I

will keep them to the end. Give me understanding

and I will keep your law and obey it with all my

heart. Direct me in the path of your commands,

for there I find delight” (Ps. 119:33-35).

LET GO OF CONFLICT

“He will judge between the nations and will settle disputes

for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plow-

shares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will

not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for

war anymore” (vs. 4).

“Hold them in the highest regard in love because of

their work. Live in peace with each other” (I Thess. 5:13).

“If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace

with everyone” (Rom. 12:18).

LIVE IN THE AWARENESS OF GOD’S PRESENCE

“Come, O house of Jacob, let us walk in the light of

the Lord” (vs. 5).

• Affirm His presence each day.
• Acknowledge the need to please God.

LET THERE BE PEACE ON EARTH!
