Society has conditioned women and people of color, in particular, to underestimate themselves in modesty’s name. This week on Leading Up With Udemy, we are revisiting a conversation with Yvell Stanford. She speaks about teaching people to believe in themselves, advocate for themselves, and how to put modesty in a corner. Yvell is the Metropolitan Transit Authority’s Deputy Chief of Organizational Design and Development. Prior to this, she spent nearly 15 years as a professor in the Black and Hispanic Studies Department at Baruch College at the City University of New York.
