Die grüne Insel hat Star-Qualitäten. In zahlreichen Filmen spielt die Landschaft eine große Rolle - und Irland hat davon reichlich zu bieten. Eine natürliche Kulisse sozusagen. Das haben auch die sogenannten Location- Scouts erkannt und so wurden und werden viele Szenen und Filme auf der Insel Irland gedreht: Game of Thrones® und Star Wars sind sicherlich die bekanntesten unter ihnen. Doch das ist bei weitem noch nicht alles. Auch für Braveheart, The Fall, Soldat James Ryan, Harry Potter und viele weitere Filme wurde in Irland gedreht.
