Sean Platt and Johnny Truant are prolific authors - their fiction is ambitious, world building ingenious and fully realized, and approach beyond innovative. They together the authored one of my favorite sci-fi series of all time,The Beam.
Interestingly, they write as a team - more like founders than the monolithic writer of old. By collaborating they can divide up responsibility for plot beats, world building, and narrative vs. character, dialogue, and characterization. While common in startup and the business world, this is ground-breaking in the world of fiction. Their unique approach to writing have lead them to publishing over 10,000,000 words.
