#168 Freedom From Alcohol Addiction

His Heartbeat with Sue Corl

In her early adulthood, Jennifer Alai found herself with an unhealthy reliance on alcohol. When family brought the habit to her attention, she tried to stop; only separating from her then-husband caused a downward spiral that caused several hospitalizations and rehab stints.
Her health and relationships were rapidly deteriorating. At the lowest point, she was arrested for driving under the influence and faced one to five years in state prison. It was at that point that she realized how many times God had saved her from harm, and she promised him that if he delivered her from this addiction that she would dedicate her life to delivering others. She was admitted to her final rehab, where through grueling work and the strength of the Holy Spirit she recovered.
True to her promise to God, Jennifer now works for a drug and alcohol rehab center in Pennsylvania, and as a personal sobriety coach. She is five years sober, and continues her healing journey daily.
