Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple, Madurai,Tamil Nadu is dedicated to Devi as Meenakshi and Her Consort,Siva as Somasundara. Calculating this tilt, 1000 years before the architectures made the N-E-W-S directions exactly with 180 degree and constructed these gopurams.
