Jesus stood before Pilate, who at the time was the most powerful man in Judea as a Roman authority figure. When Pilate said to Jesus, “why do you not answer me, do you now know I have the power to kill you?” Jesus as a conqueror although having been handed over, mocked, spit on, taunted and physically abused answered Pilate by saying, “You could not have any authority over me except what My Father has given you.” Jesus was letting Pilate know he could not be threatened to do what a man wished him to do. Jesus was only in submission to His Father and was prepared to go through whatever His Father had destined Him to go through. Jesus was not a victim! He was more than a conqueror! THAT’S THE JESUS LIVING WITHIN YOU. THAT’S WHY YOU ARE NOT JUST A ……… BUT MORE THAN
